Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 620 through 6276.48), we are requesting any and all records, dated on and after September 1st, 2014, relating to property 961 Porter Street, Vallejo, CA 94590, including without limitations, notices of violation, notices of abatement, correspondence, notices of conditions requiring repairs, notices of blight conditions, notices of vermin infestation, inspection logs, inspection reports, notices of health and safety code violations, photographs, call logs, video logs, memos, notes, penalties and fines.

Specifically, we are looking for public records for the Units: #5-206, #10-104, #10-503, #10-306, #10-105, #10-303, #10-204.

Please respond within 10 days. If the cost of compliance will exceed $100, please let us know.

Hello. We have provided all records responsive to your request. The Public Records Act exempts from disclosure files when disclosure would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, such as personnel, medical, or similar files. Government Code Section 6253(c). Similarly, the California Constitution provides a right of privacy at Article 1, Section 1. In the records we disclosed, we have redacted private information, i.e., residents' names.

Per our conversation yesterday, I was able to speak to Peggy about our request for records, and she gave me the following list of the addresses and units for the records that we are seeking:

We can give you the tenants' names for the various units if you'd like. We are not seeking financial records. We would appreciate any records that you are able to provide for the above addresses.

The California Public Records Act, Government Code §6250, et seq., gives you the right to obtain a copy of identifiable public records. Government Code §6256 provides that the City has up to 10 days after receipt of your request to determine whether to comply with your request and shall immediately notify you of this determination and the reasons therefore.
