  Closed

Hello:

My name is Alejandro Serrano. I am a reporter at The San Francisco Chronicle.

Pursuant to my rights under the California Public Records Act (Government Code Section 6250 et seq.), I ask to obtain a copy of the following, which I understand to be held by your agency:

Any memos created and/or distributed to all police officers regarding department changes in response to the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak between Jan. 1 and March 19, 2020.

I ask for a determination on this request within 10 days of your receipt of it, and an even prompter reply if you can make that determination without having to review the records in question.

Thank you,
Alejandro Serrano

On March 16, 2020, the City Council declared a local emergency in response to the global COVID-19 outbreak. The City has sent employees home over concerns of the spread of COVID-19, and City operations have been interrupted. Due to these emergency circumstances, the City's response to your Public Records Act request may be delayed. We expect to address your PRA request when normal business operations resume. Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.
