On March 16, 2020, the City Council declared a local emergency in response to the global COVID-19 outbreak. The City has sent employees home over concerns of the spread of COVID-19, and City operations have been interrupted. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §6250, et seq., gives you the right to obtain a copy of identifiable public records. Government Code §6253 provides that the City has up to 10 days after receipt of your request to determine whether to comply with your request and shall immediately notify you of this determination and the reasons therefor.
